The Lord showed me something amazing during Hurricane Harvey that I’m ready to share. For several days leading up to Harvey’s arrival, I spent a lot of time with the Lord in prayer and intercession, and like many other intercessors, declared in Jesus name that it would dissipate and go away. However, on the morning before Harvey hit, I heard God’s Angelic Army say in the spirit, “Prepare for impact!”.
Then God showed me in the spirit, angelic battalions manning their posts here on land. I could also see the Heavenly Host, God’s Army, surrounding Harvey in the Gulf, engaged in fierce battle. I also heard the word “shepherding”, and saw legions of warring angels corralling this thing, shifting it, and containing it. Then early the next morning, Hurricane Harvey made landfall.
The anticipation of Harvey’s arrival had finally become a reality; and to make matters worse, it seemed to set up camp for days. The rainfall and thunder was relentless and it didn’t stop. At some point during all of this, the Lord prompted me to listen to the song, “What a Beautiful Name” by Hillsong Worship. When I did, this is what He showed me…
Journaled August 26, 2017:
I could see, in the spirit, God using this storm as a distraction. He didn’t create it, but was controlling it. After diverting Harvey north, away from Corpus Christi, which is Latin for “the body of Christ”, He opened the Heavens and was releasing the Kingdom of God right over us!
I could see millions of angels coming through! I could see warriors on horseback flowing in! I could hear pounding hoofbeats inside thunder and crashing waves coming in! I could hear the long roar of a lion! They were coming in! It was never ending!
The words, “The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory”, from the song filled my spirit! The Kingdom of God was coming in! They were coming in because we asked for them! God was sending them for us! He was showing us how much He loves us!
The words of the song, “It’s A Beautiful Name” resonated deep into my spirit, “You didn’t want heaven without us, so Jesus, You brought heaven down.” I could hear them; I could feel them; I could feel the jarring and vibration of the stampede! It was never ending! It never stopped!
Again, the words of this song spoke, “Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You, You silenced the boast, of sin and grave.” They were coming in and using the storm as cover! They were coming in right above the enemy! They were sneaking in!
Millions of God’s angels were coming in, and all while the enemy was distracted! The words of the song continued, “For You are raised to life again, You have no rival, You have no equal, Now and forever, Our God reigns, Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory, Yours is the Name, above all names.”
Thunder mixed with accelerando and crescendo of beating drums in this song, intensified what God was showing me. I also was hearing angels say of God’s enemy, “He’s so stupid, he doesn’t even know we’re coming in.” (I took this to mean that he was so filled with arrogance, that he was oblivious to what was going on around him.)
In the spirit, I was seeing a vivid motion picture over my head. I wasn’t in the picture, I was just watching it take place overhead. I saw the Kingdom of Heaven coming in, bringing in God’s Glory!
The words of the song continued, “The Name of Jesus Christ my King, What a powerful Name it is, Nothing can stand against, What a powerful Name it is, The Name of Jesus.” By this point, I knew His angels were here to stay with us! They were staying to be with us! They were staying to protect us! I knew I was watching the beginning of God bringing His Heaven to this earth! His Kingdom was coming in!
Again, words in the song filled my spirit, “You were the Word at the beginning, One With God the Lord Most High, Your hidden glory in creation, Now revealed in You our Christ, What a beautiful Name it is, What a beautiful Name it is, The Name of Jesus Christ my King.” I was overcome with such strong emotion. I was weeping with an overwhelming joy. I could feel His presence! I could feel The Holy Spirit over me, filling me with God’s Glory!
The song continued, “What a beautiful Name it is, Nothing compares to this, What a beautiful Name it is, The Name of Jesus.” I couldn’t believe what He was showing me! He was showing me something amazing, it was biblical! I could feel His incredible love for us! I was so thankful for His Fire and Glory! I was so thankful for His Power and Might!
The song continued, “The Name of Jesus, How sweet is your name, Lord, how good You are, Love to sing in the name of the Lord, love to sing for you all.” I was so thankful for His Son, Jesus Christ and what He has done for us! I was so thankful for His love! My heart was leaping! I was undone. I was witnessing an incredible sight!
Now, this gets even better…
When people started coming to Houston from all over the place to rescue those caught in the floods, The Lord showed me angels guiding and directing them. The angels were above the rescuers, partnering with them. The angels were directing people, telling them to “grab their boats, or buy boats, and go help”, “go there”, “you go there”, “you rescue that person”, “you go there and rescue that person there”. The people were being directed by God’s Army; by Angelic Commanding Officers.
God had His hand all over it. His angels, meaning God’s Heavenly Army of Hosts and Ministering Angels (yes, some with wings) were in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida. They were everywhere, both inside the country and overseas, directing people, telling people to “raise money”, “collect donations”, “pack a trailer”, “assemble volunteers and go to Texas”, “your team will cook”, “your team will pass out water”, “your team will do this/do that”.
Again, the words of the song resonated, “You didn’t want heaven without us, So Jesus, You brought heaven down, My sin was great, Your love was greater, What could separate us now, What a wonderful Name it is, What a wonderful Name it is, The Name of Jesus Christ my King.”
The angels sent by God were officers leading an army. The army was “us”, and the angels were in charge, running a well organized, well thought out machine. This has been a miracle! The Lord sent a calvary to Texas! These are flesh-and-bone, every-day people being led by God’s Ministering Angels, being filled with the Holy Spirit!
I’ve never seen the words of this song before this. I mean I’ve never seen it as pictures. It was like this song was written by God for this very purpose.
“Death could not hold You, the veil tore before You, You silenced the boast, of sin and grave, The heavens are roaring, the praise of Your glory, For You are raised to life again, You have no rival, You have no equal, Now and forever, Our God reigns, Yours is the Kingdom, Yours is the glory, Yours is the Name, above all names, What a powerful Name it is, What a powerful Name it is, The Name of Jesus Christ my King, What a powerful Name it is, Nothing can stand against, What a powerful Name it is, The Name of Jesus.”
I’m in awe over all of this! We have witnessed how smoothly the relief efforts have been, and how well those affected by this hurricane have accepted their circumstances. It’s like they feel the presence and the Glory of God and know it’s going to be ok. I know I do!
What made this vision more incredible, was the prophetic word Lana Vawser shared when she visited Texas this past April, over four months before Hurricane Harvey. She said that when she landing, she saw an angel in the spirit stirring the healing waters over Texas.
“For an angel of the Lord went down at certain seasons into the pool and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was made well from whatever disease with which he was afflicted.” John 5:4
She also saw the state of Texas being branded with a fiery branding iron, and when the iron lifted up, the word seen in fire was the name, “JESUS”. The purpose of this fire was to purify and refine God’s people, just like the refining fire we see in God’s word. Then to add more to this incredible vision, when I looked up the name “Harvey”, it literally means “blazing iron”, just like a branding iron!
I also saw God do something amazing in Florida through Hurricane Irma. From a distance, He showed me the Kingdom of God pounding in above the destruction-seeking storm. God’s glorious Heavenly Army was flowing in, unbeknownst to the enemy. His ministering angels were released and were coming in, saturating Florida with the Glory and the Power, all while the enemy went about his business. Finally, He showed me the angelic army in Florida crossing their swords over people in Florida to protect them. It was an official call to arms.
“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 3:33
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
“The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.” Revelation 19:14
“For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11
“Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?” Hebrews 1:14
“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’” Matthew 10:7
“‘Your kingdom come Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.'” Matthew 6:10
“Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!” Psalm 148:2
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of those families who sacrificed and suffered loss as a result of Hurricane Harvey, including those who helped them. May God’s loving Mercy and Grace be upon you. God bless you! ~Stephanie Easley
I believe everyone can hear God and see things in the spirit He wants us to see. However, it comes from actively pursuing a relationship with Him, which begins when we speak this desire out loud. Tell Him that you want a closer relationship with Him. Tell Him that you want to get to know Him better. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with His Glory, to fill you with His Power. Ask Him to open the ears of your heart, so you can hear Him. Ask Him to open the eyes of your heart so you can see Him. I hope this post is an encouragement to you and makes you want to seek Him more. If you haven’t experienced this type of relationship with Him yet, I encourage you to listen to the song I wrote about here, and ask Him to show you what He wants you to see. God bless.
